  4. Cathro accepts 'another lesson'

    FT: Hearts 0-1 Aberdeen

Hearts head coach Ian Cathro on BBC Radio Scotland: "Initially, we probably lost the fight to make the game the way we wanted it to be.

"Although it was difficult, with a bit of suffering and stress, they showed good fight to get through to half time.

"In the second half, with a bit of adjustments, we were able to compete a bit more. But another lesson.

"Will we look to add players of a different type? Yes, we will work on that during January, but it is a difficult window and we won't be rushed."

  5. Fitting reward for Hayes

    FT: Hearts 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland: "Hearts are a good team, but we nullified their threat and, once we played in the final third, we created some good chances.

"To come here as the away team, when the Hearts team go off to boos at the half-time, that is half the job done.

"We just needed to go on from that and score and I thought we were thoroughly deserving winners.

"Jonny's speed is always important to us, but as a wide player we are always stressing that he needs to contribute with goals and it is great to see him get the reward for that effort.

"It has been a strong week for us - nine points from three games."
