Who could have guessed that, 200 years later, they'd be still playing the deciding set, thrilling with wordly backhands and delightful net play. The fourth seed punches the air after taking a delightful opening point, he's beginning to feel at home on this stage again. Oh. Scrap that. Wawrinka botches a simple backhand volley. 30-15.

It is a one-sided 12-0 in favour of Novak Djokovic in the head to head.
One of those wins was at the same stage of last year's Wimbledon championship, when Djokovic found himself two sets to one down, but fought back in five.

The roof has been peeled back and we are getting some fresh air flowing around the old place.
Plenty of people taking the chance to loosen off the limbs with a trip to the bar or bathroom and the players emerge to a smattering of applause rather than the full standing ovation afforded Andy Murray and, to a lesser extent, Vasek Pospisil's entrance.

"Roger Federer is a different league altogether but this was a good stepping stone towards that match. I'd pick Murray as the favourite."

Novak Djokovic went the distance in a five-setter against big Kevin Anderson that spanned both Monday and Tuesday in the previous round.
Will take give Cilic the advantage?
Perhaps not. Cilic was bogged down in a four-and-a-half-hour slug-fest with John Isner in the third round and has been on court nearly four hours longer in total so far.

It is a one-sided 12-0 in favour of Novak Djokovic in the head to head.
One of those wins was at the same stage of last year's Wimbledon championship, when Djokovic found himself two sets to one down, but fought back in five.
Since then a couple of straight-sets wins for Djokovic with Cilic winning just a total of five games across the two defeats.

The Frenchman messes up one break point, a simple forehand slapped into the net, but he quickly makes amends - Wawrinka's usually solid backhand fails. By reaching the semi-finals of the men's singles and men's doubles events here, Andy and Jamie Murray have become the first brothers to reach the semis in the men's singles and men's doubles events at the same Wimbledon since Australians John and Neale Fraser in 1962.
The Frasers both reached the men's singles and men's doubles semifinals (with different partners) at the 1962 Wimbledon.

Top seed Novak Djokovic against US Open champion Marin Cilic is next up on Centre Court and it will be an open-air affair.
The roof has been peeled back and we are getting some fresh air flowing around the old place.
Plenty of people taking the chance to loosen off the limbs with a trip to the bar or bathroom and the players emerge to a smattering of applause rather than the full standing ovation afforded Andy Murray and, to a lesser extent, Vasek Pospisil's entrance.

But today people are strategically stood - behind the view-obstructing, hydrangea-lined water feature - ducking and squinting to see the big screen on the side of Court One.
A few worn-out middle-aged men are catching the zeds - although even the huge cheer which greeted Murray's set-winning point doesn't stir them.
