Goodbye, Thiem

Thiem 6-7 6-7 6-7 Vesely

Another seed bites the dust on day four.

Dominic Thiem of Austria, ranked number eight, has been beaten in straight sets by Czech Jiri Vesely - 7-6 7-6 7-6.

Vesely's having a pretty good 2016 so far. He's one of only two men to have beaten Novak Djokovic. He overcame the world number one in Monte Carlo.

One to watch, perhaps.

Bouchard's winning moment

This is the moment that Jo Konta's Wimbledon dream came to an end for this year. Eugenie Bouchard from Canada takes the match, 6-3 1-6 6-1

Konta is beaten by Bouchard

'No better feeling'

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 6-1 Konta

Eugenie Bouchard has just been talking to BBC Sport after her win over British number one Johanna Konta.

"I was pressured after that second set and she hit good balls and played some good tennis," says Bouchard. "I had to play well and I did in the third set.

"I love it here and there's no better feeling than walking out on Centre Court at Wimbledon. I feel like I played some good tennis out there.

"I've definitely learned a lot in my short career and there have been ups and downs in tennis, just as in life, and I feel strong physically and mentally. Every match is a battle and I look forward to the next one and I will leave it all out there."

'Konta will be very disappointed'

Johanna Konta

Eugenie Bouchard played extremely well. She served big, had a high percentage of first serves in, dictated from the baseline, looked very composed and poised, hit the ball early - solid and clean. Konta will be very disappointed, but it is all so new to her. It was only the second time on this Centre Court and she only broke into the top 20 in June.

Radwanska’s winning moment …

Poor Ana Konjuh! You have to feel for the 18-year-old from Croatia. Here's the moment that Radwanska wins the match 6-2 4-6 9-7

Radwanska beats Konjuh in three sets

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 6-1 Konta

Here in the BBC commentary box we've seen a lot of tennis over the last four days.

But that, for me, was one of the best matches so far. Brilliant performances from both women.

Jana Novotna

Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 live

I hope Konta won't get disappointed with herself. She played a really good match. She did very well and should be proud of her performance on the grass.

Ian Bradley: Such a tough draw getting a revitalised Bouchard for Konta, match has been a ridiculously high standard, gutted for Jo

'Bouchard is back'

Leon Smith

Great Britain Davis Cup captain

From a British perspective it is disappointing. It was a really high level tennis match. Konta will be disappointed, but it looks like Bouchard is back.

Game, set and match

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 6-1 Konta

Konta tries to challenge the call as her return goes long..but it's well long.

The British number one goes out in the second round. Eugenie Bouchard goes through.

Match point

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 5-1 Konta

Eugenie Bouchard

Huge cheers around Centre Court as a Jo Konta backhand winner is place into the empty grass vacated by a wrong-footed Eugenie Bouchard.

She does the same again. And the crowd love it even more the second time.

But she's over-zealous on a forehand...and Bouchard is handed match point

*Bouchard 6-3 1-6 5-1 Konta

Johanna Konta does her bit, as she attempts to find an unlikely way back into the match.

She holds with relative ease.

Over to you, Eugenie.

'Konta's lack of experience showing'

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 5-0 Konta*

Bouchard has really raised the level of her game. She has played in more big matches and maybe that lack of experience on the big stage for Konta is showing up just marginally - it does not take much to turn a match like this. Bouchard is back at the level she was at in 2014. She is hitting strongly and she was a bit fragile last year. She is reading the ball so well.

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 5-0 Konta*

A long, rather awkward, discussion between a riled-up Konta and the umpire ensues. Konta is disputing a call. She walks away, eventually, and shakes her head. The point goes to her opponent.

A well-timed drop shot from the Canadian is undone by a double fault on the next point, but Bouchard finishes off the game with a forehand into the corner.

One more to go.

Eugenie Bouchard calmly takes a 0-30 lead on Jo Konta's serve. She's on one now.

Konta snatches it back to 30-all, but is wrong-footed by a sensational backhand cross-court. Another Bouchard break point.

We go to deuce after the Canadian's forehand springs into the net, but then back to break point as Konta hits long...and then a dropshot goes carelessly into the net.

Bouchard break to take control of this deciding set now.

Heartbreak on Court Two

Radwanska 6-2 4-6 9-7 Konjuh

Third seed Agnieszka Radwanska.survives a scare to go through - but there is plenty of sympathy for her beaten opponent Ana Konjuh.

Konjuh injured her ankle with the score at 7-7 in the deciding set and bravely played on but lost the final two games and left to sympathetic applause.

Jarleth Eaton: Best match of women's tennis I've seen in a long time. Quality from Bouchard and Konta is outstanding!

Luke Jenkins: Match of the tournament so far!!! Amazing tennis from both women. LETS GO JO

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 3-0 Konta*

This is brilliant, brilliant tennis from both players.

Jo Konta lands a huge backhand deep into the crevices of the whitewash and earns three break-back points.

The crowd let out a moan as she loses them all.

After deuce, Bouchard holds.

Injury drama for teenager Konjuh

Radwanska 6-2 4-6 7-7 Konjuh

Worrying scenes over on Court Two for Croatian Ana Konjuh, 18, who has injured her right ankle while locked in a deciding set duel with third seed Agnieszka Radwanska.

Konjuh, ranked 103 in the world, looked tearful as strapping was wrapped around the ankle.

*Bouchard 6-3 1-6 2-0 Konta

Johanna Konta

Bouchard finds her groove and eeeeeesh a double fault at 0-30 from Konta hands the Canadian three break points.

A smashing forehand winner from Konta rescues one.

But it's not enough.

Bouchard flies forward after an exhaustive rally and volleys over the winner. B-e-a-utiful.

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 1-0 Konta*

Eugenie Bouchard

Bouchard staves off the danger to hold. That was hard work for the Canadian.

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 0-0 Konta*

Jo Konta deceives Eugenie Bouchard with a sly backhand to nab the first point on her serve.

Bouchard pulls it back and we go to deuce.

A double fault hands Konta break point, but Bouchard rescues again.

Another break point to the Briton. But we go back to deuce again. Sigh.

BreakingRadwanska in a thriller

Radwanska 6-2 4-6 7-7 Konjuh

Radwanska v Konjuh

Third seed Agnieszka Radwanska is desperately fighting to stay in the tournament over on Court Two.

Radwanska is locked at 7-7 in the deciding set against Croatian Ana Konjuh, who is ranked 103 in the world.

'A great back story to this match'

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 Konta

Tracy Austin

Former Wimbledon mixed doubles champion on BBC TV

This is a very high quality match and a much anticipated one. The back story is so interesting. Bouchard was a finalist here two years ago, got to five in the world but then had a huge dip because of all of the expectation on her and struggled to deal with the pressure. She said she was eating less because she was so nervous. For Johanna Konta, she was outside the top 100 a year ago, but now the expectations are that she will win this match.

Bouchard 6-3 1-6 Konta

Jana Novotna

Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 live

In the first set, Johanna started really well but Eugenie Bouchard used her experience and hard-hitting strokes to come back and completely dismantle Konta's game.

In the second set Konta found her way into the match, got a little more focus and showed us some really good tennis.

Eighth seed Thiem in trouble

Thiem 6-7 6-7 Vesely

Austrian Dominic Thiem, the men's eighth seed, is two sets down to Jiri Vesely after losing a second tie-break.

The Czech, ranked 64 in the world, has one Tour-level title to his name - winning as a qualifier in Auckland last year.

Game and second set

*Bouchard 6-3 1-6 Konta

Johanna Konta

Another break point saved by Konta and we're back to deuce.

And now it's advantage to the British number one.

Konta holds with an overhead smash and takes the set. Boomtown.

*Bouchard 6-3 1-5 Konta

In various tennis live texts, I've tried to coin the phrase break-back-ability.

I think this is the appropriate time to get it out again. Bouchard has two break points.

Oh, but hang on. Konta rescues both of them. We go to deuce. Stand down on the fancy new lexicon.

These points are so physical. Both players are producing laser-like shots just a foot over the net, very high risk, but very high quality.
