  5. Rain stops play

    Cilic 6-3 6-1 3-2 Pella*

But that is it. The officials have made the disappointing decision to suspend this match.

There is no play anywhere at Wimbledon right now due to the rain.

  6. Post update

    Cilic 6-3 6-1 3-2 Pella*

Marin Cilic has a leads by two sets and is 3-2 up in the third set. He is asking the umpire what the situation is with the rain.

Both players are waiting in their chairs at the change of ends, hoping that this rain will pass.

Ponchos on in the crowd but still no sign of the covers.

  7. Post update

The covers are being brought back onto the outside courts but still play continues on Court One.

  8. Post update

Boos on court three. Spectators run for cover. The rain is back.

  9. Game, set and match - Mladenovic

    Mladenovic 6-2 6-2 Maria

All over under the roof on Centre.

France's Kristina Mladenovic, a former world number 10 who has since dropped to 62 in the world, has completed her win over Germany's Tatjana Maria.

  10. Post update

We're in the strange situation here of having play on Court One despite it not having a roof but no sign of any players on any of the other outdoor courts even though the covers are off.

Umpire Jake Garner is having a conversation with a Wimbledon official on court three where Stan Wawrinka and Thomas Fabbiano were playing before the interruption.

  11. 'Cilic could win it'

    Cilic 6-3 6-1 1-0 Pella*

    Boris Becker

Three-time Wimbledon champion on BBC TV

When you think 'who are the favourites?' Of course Federer comes to mind, but after a few, Cilic. I like his attitude, the way he goes about his business. He went to the final last year. I really like his chances. Of course there are 15 players naturally good on grass.

  12. Game and second set

    *Cilic 6-3 6-1 0-0 Pella

It's looking easy peasy for Marin Cilic so far.

The third seed is two sets up against Guido Pella.

Can the big Croat go all the way to the final this year again?

  13. Post update

    *Fabbiano 7-6 (9-7) 6-3 5-6 Wawrinka

Most of the crowd are still firmly in their seats on court three, not wanting to miss this match between Stan Wawrinka and Thomas Fabbiano when they resume.

There's no sign of the players yet but play has resumed on Court One where Marin Cilic is a game away from winning the second set against Guido Pella.

  14. Post update

Scratch that. The covers are now coming off on the outside courts. We're going to have tennis very soon.

  15. Post update

The covers are off on Centre Court and Germany's Tatjana Maria and France's Kristina Mladenovic are about to resume under the roof.

The covers are still in place on the outside courts.

    Tomova 1-6 4-6 S. Williams

Serena Williams was in impressive form earlier in blowing away Viktoriya Tomova.

Kim Clijsters said afterwards that the performance proved Serena is a contender this year as she continues her come back following the birth of her daughter.

  17. Watch: Wawrinka fights back

    *Fabbiano 7-6 (9-7) 6-3 5-6 Wawrinka

This annoying rain delay has stopped a Stan Wawrinka in its' tracks.

He's still two sets down against Thomas Fabbiano but just before the break had a set point.

It looks like being a late-night thriller if they get back out there.
