    Federer 6-7 (6-8) 1-1 Djokovic*

Federer brings out the hotdog lob but Djokovic is equal to it, taking advantage but he once again loses it.

But the game is his, we're still without a break in this match.

  2. Post update

    Federer 6-7 (6-8) 1-0 Djokovic*

Federer wins the first point of the second game and after the serving Djokovic takes a 30-30 lead, third seed Federer levels once more.

A spectacular forehand winner gives Federer break point - his first of the match. Can he capitalise on it? Not quite. Somehow, he returns a Djokovic overhead smash but it goes too long. Back to deuce we go.

  3. Post update

    Federer* 6-7 (6-8) 1-0 Djokovic

Federer wins his opening service game of this set, but he certainly had to fight for it, holding off two break points.

  4. Post update

We're under way in the second set.

    Silence, s'il vous plait.

  5. Post update

Federer hit double the amount of winners in that set than Djokovic and looked the stronger on serve. He'll be kicking himself after that one - opportunity missed.

Djokovic's emotion was apparent as he sealed the set in one hour and 14 minutes, letting out a big Andy Murray-esque roar.

It looks as though Federer has disappeared off to the locker rooms in the break.

  6. Djokovic wins first set

    Federer 6-7 (6-8) Djokovic

Federer's head looks to have dropped a little as Djokovic goes 7-6 up. This is tense.

And there we have it. Djokovic roars as he wins the tie-break 8-6 and with it the set.

    That was a tough one.

  7. Post update

    Federer 6-6 Djokovic

We're back to 4-4 and then Djokovic takes the lead for the first time in this tie-break.

Federer massively miscalculates a shot but he's saved when Djokovic's return hits the net. He levels and then immediately goes 6-5 up. Big reaction from the crowd in Paris.

They must wait though, a mishit cross-court shot sees him drop set point.

  8. Post update

    Federer 6-6 Djokovic

Djokovic makes the first challenge of the set but the umpire's decision stands as Hawkeye proves his effort was just too long, and Federer regains the lead. He then goes up to 4-2 on serve.

  9. Post update

    Federer 6-6 Djokovic

Federer takes the first point of the tie-break and then serves an ace to increase his lead.

Djokovic comes back into it though and levels with a cross-court forehand winner. 2-2

  10. Post update

    Federer * 6-6 Djokovic

Federer looks strong when serving, going into a 40-15 lead, but then I speak too soon and Djokovic reels him back in to level at deuce.

Federer isn't letting this one go though, he wins on the advantage and we're headed for a tie-break.

  11. Post update

    Federer 5-6 Djokovic*

Djokovic is sending Federer all over the place in this one with the Swiss doing mighty well to stay in a rally at 30-15.

Very dominant play from the Serb as he wraps the 11th game up. Break Federer in the next game and the set is his.

  12. Post update

    Federer* 5-5 Djokovic

Federer goes 40-0 up with a half-volley change of direction that Djokovic can't quite return.

The Swiss takes the next point and we're at 5-5. Break soon, please lads.

  13. Post update

    Federer 4-5 Djokovic*

Well that was a short one. Djokovic breezes through his service game dropping only a single point to Federer.

    Novak Djokovic
  14. Post update

    Federer* 4-4 Djokovic

Breathless. Federer finally takes the eighth game having staved off four Djokovic break points.

If that's how the rest of this match is going to go, you'd best go put the kettle on. We're in for a long one.

  15. Post update

    Federer* 3-4 Djokovic

Oh Roger. A Djokovic back hand at deuce proves too powerful and the Swiss can only rebound it into the net.

We then see the luckiest shot ever on Djokovic's fourth break point. The ball bounces up off the net, Federer flails at it late and somehow he takes it back to deuce! This game is going on and on and on.

  16. Post update

    Federer* 3-4 Djokovic

Game points all over the place in this one.

Federer gives Djokovic break point, slicing his backhand into the net but then he levels at 40-40 with a beautifully delicate drop shot. That was an important one for him.

Wow - Djokovic then hands Federer game point, going for a drop shot himself but it doesn't get over the net. He's not happy with that one.

We're now on deuce number four...

  17. Fact of the day

This is Roger Federer's 201st career semi-final. GOAT.

If only I could use emojis...

  18. Post update

    Federer 3-4 Djokovic*

A racquet change for Federer but it does little to stop Djokovic easing through his service game.

He takes that one without dropping a point. Both players have settled into this semi-final and neither is proving easy to break.

    Roger Federer
  19. Post update

    Federer* 3-3 Djokovic

First signs suggest this could be a tight one!

An exquisite point gives Federer the lead in this sixth game and once again he's straight to 40-0. A mishit on game point but he gets the job done on his second attempt.

    Simples.

  20. Post update

    Federer 2-3 Djokovic*

Federer continues that dominance into Djokovic's service game to take a 30-0 lead but the Serb soon levels.

Federer's slice is working well so far though and he takes the game to 40-40. Djokovic finds the corner with a fine forehand to take advantage. He survives the scare to win the game. Who will be the first to break?
