    The German takes the second set against Australian wildcard Alex Bolt and lets out a huge roar to celebrate.

    Simona Halep almost ends up in the stands trying to defend an onslaught of backhands from Venus, and the American pops an easy winner home for 15-15.

    Halep double faults a second later, throwing her racquet down in disgust, but a skewiff Venus forehand drags the scores level.

    OH! Halep switches up at the right time, going cross-court with Venus before tearing a ripper down the line, and the Romanian is a game away from the fourth round.

    She follows up a big forehand with a backhand that a stretched Venus can't return.

    The ball is making a terrific noise off Venus' racquet, as she lets out a "come on!" with a passing shot that flies past an approaching Halep.

    The American laughs at herself as she crashes a high backhand into the net, caught in two minds over what shot to play, and then Halep mullers her second serve for 40-30.

    Halep then ends up doing the splits as she races to meet a push out wide from Venus, and the Romanian shanks her return long.
