Ben Bostrom handed Laguna Seca ride at US MotoGP

Bostrom finished third in the World Superbike championship of 2001

Former World Superbike rider Ben Bostrom has been handed a wildcard entry to this weekend's United States MotoGP.

Bostrom, 37, will ride for the LCR Honda team at Laguna Seca alongside usual rider Toni Elias.

His inclusions means there will be four American riders on the grid.

Bostrom said: "Words can't express how excited I am to get this amazing opportunity to race on my home track in front of the whole world."

Joining him at his home race are fellow Americans Nicky Hayden, Colin Edwards and Ben Spies.
