King's Lynn Stars rider Mads Korneliussen has hailed his side's top-four campaign as his best ever season.

The 28-year-old, who has raced for Peterborough and Swindon, has averaged 7.37 at number four this term, helping the Stars seal a play-off spot.

"It's my best season by far. I can't say how happy I am to be in the play-offs with King's Lynn," the Dane told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"We've worked so hard and everybody has given 100%."

King's Lynn, in the Elite League for the first time in nine years, clinched a top four spot with victory over Birmingham last week.

Poole, Eastbourne and Lakeside make up the remaining play-off spots, with first-placed Poole able to choose who they face in their semi-final.

The Stars have provisionally set aside 19 (home) and 26 (away) September for the two-legged tie, with the opponents to be announced in the coming days.
