Lincoln's Sam Lowes claimed a third successive top-three finish in the World Supersport Championship with second place at Magny Cours in France.
Starting from fourth, Parkalgar Honda's Lowes rode a steady race and overhauled Broc Parkes late in the race to take second behind Yamaha's Luca Scassa.
"I struggled for the first few laps but I kept clawing away at it," said Lowes.
"After Luca passed me I dug deep but did not have the pace to catch him but it is another second place for me."
Scassa's ParkinGO Yamaha team-mate Chaz Davies secured the title with sixth place in the race, while Lowes's fifth podium finish in seven races took him to within seven points of third-placed Parkes in the standings ahead of the season closing Portuguese round on 16 October.
"I am looking forward to Portimao in Portugal for the final round," added Lowes, 21. "It's the home of my Parkalgar Honda team and I want to be fighting for the win there."
