Championship 'special' for birthday boy Stoner

Casey Stoner says the 2011 MotoGP season has been a "dream" for him and his Honda team as he wins his home Grand Prix in Australia to be crowned the new champion.

It was the fifth year in a row that Stoner has won the race on Phillip Island and he says it is "something special" to claim the title on his 26th birthday.

The Australian needed to finish in the top six to claim his second world title after his closest challenger, Jorge Lorenzo, missed the race after suffering a nasty crash in the warm-up for Sunday's race.
