Lincoln's Sam Lowes is to remain in the World Supersport Championship for 2012 after extending his contract with Parkalgar Honda for a further year.
Lowes, 21, claimed three second-placed finishes and three third places on his way to sixth overall in his first full season in World Supersport.
Team manager Simon Buckmaster said: "Sam has had a fantastic first season.
"No-one can deny that with the experience he has gained he is going to be a title contender in 2012."
Lowes, who retired from the last round of the series at Portimao in Portugal, will round off his season at the Sunflower Trophy meeting at Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland on 21-22 October.
He made his Parkalgar Honda debut at the meeting 12 months ago, finishing as top Supersport rider and eighth overall in the open Sunflower Trophy race.
