Devon racing driver Harry Tincknell is confident he will cope with the increased pressure as he moves up to Formula Three with Fortec Motorsports.

The 19-year-old has secured a drive in the British Formula Three International Series after two succesful seasons on the Formula Renault circuit.

He said: "I'm really enjoying it at Fortec, the guys have so much passion and there's a strong work ethic.

"It's a real team effort and our focus is on getting it right.

Tincknell, who came fifth in the 2010 Formula Renault Championship, will race in Formula Three for the first time in Monza, Italy, this weekend.

"The car is massively different to what I've been drving in Formula Renault," said Tincknell, who is based in his home city of Exeter.

"You're going through corners even faster with a lot more downforce, so there's a much greater stress on your neck.

"I've worked really hard on my fitness throughout the winter to get me ready for the season ahead."
