Newcastle Diamonds bring in Slovenian rider Ferjan

Newcastle Diamonds have signed Slovenian rider Matej Ferjan as cover for the injured Rene Bach.
Ferjan, 34, who has ridden in Czech, Danish, Polish, German, Swedish and Hungarian speedway, is available for the weekend double header with Glasgow.
"Getting a class act like Matej on board is a major coup," team boss George English said.
"It's a very special appointment for us and the rider himself. Matej is as keen as any rider I've met to get racing."
Denmark rider Bach broke his leg in last week's meeting against Rye House.
