Newcastle Diamonds have been forced to postpone their Premier League fixture with Ipswich on 22 May to enable repairs to be made to the greyhound track at Brough Park.
Stadium owners William Hill are doing the work over three days, ruling out speedway on other days that weekend.
"We are extremely disappointed that we cannot welcome Ipswich that weekend," Newcastle director Alan Hedley said.
"We fully understand the frustrations of both sets of supporters."
Hedley added: "It is particularly disappointing for the Witches supporters who were scheduled to finish off a three-day tour on Tyneside.
"Our own supporters will be equally disappointed as it will mean another blank weekend of action after we sat out 8 May."
