Moto2 racer Bradley Smith seeks Catalunya GP success
Oxford-born Moto2 racer Bradley Smith says he is hopeful he can secure a top five finish in the Catalunya Grand Prix in Spain this weekend.
Smith lies eighth in the Championship after four race meetings this season.
"Everything seems to be going well, I'm happy with everything so far and I'm just trying to keep focussed," Smith, 20, told BBC Oxford.
"So hopefully we can bike from being inside the top 10 to inside the top five and pushing for the podium."
This is Smith's debut season in Moto2 having finished fourth in the 125cc World Championship last year, and the Tech3 racer admits this season has been a steep learning curve.
"At first I had doubts because I didn't know if I could do it," he said.
"I'm still getting my head around the bike, I'm still learning, time after time, but things are going well and after the first four races we can be quite happy with what we have achieved."
