Formula Renault driver Alice Powell says she is disappointed by her sixth-place finish at Oulton Park on Sunday.
The result leaves Powell ninth in the Championship table after four race meetings of the season.
"We were going into the weekend with high expectations so to come away with sixth is disappointing," the 18-year-old told BBC Oxford.
"We've crawled a few points back in the Championship but even as a team we are still very disappointed."
The Oxford-based driver added: "We know we would've done better if we had been able to put in a fast lap in qualifying.
"It was quite a close weekend but we are just disappointed with our pace really."
The fifth race meeting of the campaign takes place in Darlington on 18 June and Powell says she must improve her pace if she is to challenge for a podium finish.
"We can't let [Oulton Park] get the better of us, we have still got to keep working hard to get better results," she said.
"Qualifying is key. Stringing everything together over a lap to produce a quick time is what we have to work on.
"I'm obviously looking forward to every single race and we're just going to try and work on a few things to work up the order really."
