Eugene Laverty had to settle for two fifth places in Sunday's World Superbike Championship round in the Czech Republic.
Northern Irishman Laverty had qualified on the front row but finished 12 seconds behind team-mate Marco Melandri in Sunday's opening race in Brno.
Melandri was edged out by Max Biaggi in the second race with series leader Carlos Checa third in both races.
Biaggi had been pipped by Melandri in Sunday's opening race.
Laverty again had a lonely ride in the second race as he was unable to keep pace with Biaggi and Melandri.
Checa's championship lead over Biaggi has been cut to 30 points with Laverty fourth - 125 points off the pace.
Jonathan Rea again missed the Czech round as he continues to recover following wrist surgery.
