Leicester Lions lose despite Magnus Karlsson's heroics

A wonderful debut display from new signing Magnus Karlsson was not enough to save Leicester Lions from defeat against Sheffield Tigers.

Karlsson, who joined the club last week, secured a five-ride maximum against the Premier League leaders at Beaumont Park on Saturday.

But despite his best efforts Lions were edged out 48-45.

Leicester remain second bottom in the 14-team league, with just three wins and two draws from their 21 fixtures.
