Poole Pirates boss Neil Middleditch has warned his side against complacency as they look to remain top of the league.
Poole are six points clear at the top of the Elite League but have some tough matches coming up including away trips to Lakeside and Coventry.
He told BBC Radio Solent: "We need to keep complacency out of the camp.
"I think it can creep in because we're doing so well, but if the boys can all stay focused then hopefully we might go that one step further this season."
Poole were beaten in the Grand Final last season by Coventry after dominating much of the league campaign but Middleditch has every faith his team can extend their lead at the top of the table with a win at Lakeside on Friday.
"We've got a very capable team, my top Aussies [Chris Holder and Darcy Ward] are all going well and everybody's pulling their weight," he said.
"Lakeside is a tricky little track and it's not been a happy hunting ground for us this season but hopefully we can go there and get a couple of points out of it."
