Belle Vue's Elite League play-off hopes were dented as they drew 45-45 with Wolverhampton at Kirkmanshulme Lane.
Chris Harris clocked up 11 points and Rory Schlein 10, but overall the Aces won just six of the 15 races.
Danish rider Charlie Gjedde told BBC Radio Manchester: "If you didn't get out of the gate it was a tough night.
"A few of us had one or two of races where things didn't really go the right way and it was hard to pass."
The result leaves the Aces in fourth place in the Elite League, the final play-off place, but they have played more matches than a lot of teams around them.
Gjedde felt that they should have won the meet with Wolves, but felt conditions played there part.
"We were a bit unlucky only getting a draw out of it," he said. "We should have won.
"To be fair the track had a lot of rain in the last few days and I think they didn't want to do too much with it.
"It was a tough night but, when we have a team like Wolverhampton come, we don't really have the track we normally ride around."
