Leicester Lions owner thanks city council for support

Lions owner David Hemsley brought speedway back to Leicester

Leicester Lions owner David Hemsley has thanked the city's council for the support they have received.

Speedway returned to the city earlier this year and Beaumont Park will host Sunday's Premier League Fours.

Hemsley stated: "The return of speedway to Leicester would not have been possible without the support of Leicester City Council."

"We have worked closely with the council and have developed a special, unique relationship."

Hemsley's Lions side have been drawn in Group One for the tournament alongside Somerset Rebels, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
