Plymouth Devils stay bottom of the Premier League after they were beaten 57-36 by Berwick.
Ben Barker top-scored with 15 points, but he was the only Plymouth rider to break into double figures.
"Berwick outgated us all evening and thoroughly deserved their win," said Plymouth promoter Mike Bowden.
"I am at a loss to explain what happened to our team, especially after the encouraging displays against Ipswich and Rye House."
He added: "We have to regroup and make sure we are ready for our basement battle at home to Leicester on Friday."
