Alex Rockwell & Danny McCanney help GB to podium finish
Manx riders Alex Rockwell and Danny McCanney helped Great Britain's junior enduro team to a podium finish at the International Six Day Enduro.
The team's four riders, which included Jonny Walker and Jack Rowland, were making debuts at the event in Finland.
ACU British ISDE team manager Andrew Martin said: "It's the first British enduro medal in over 25 years and all the lads performed brilliantly."
France won the competition, with Sweden claiming second place.
Martin added: "These guys are the future of British enduro and this is a great result.
"All four riders suffered mechanical troubles which they worked through and delivered some excellent performances."
Rockwell also won E2 class gold for finishing within 10% of the class winner and described the event as one of the toughest he has raced in.
"They were tough conditions, I've never seen rain like it," he said. "It's great to come away with such good results and hopefully personally and as a team we can build on them."
Despite a series of problems with his bike, McCanney, 19, was also happy with the result.
"It was a real challenge and we've come away with a top result."
The event in Kotka, Finland, saw over 400 of the world's top enduro riders compete over 1,500km of off-road racing.
