Lakeside Hammers rider Piotr Swiderski breaks his leg

Lakeside Hammers rider Piotr Swiderski has suffered a broken leg and has been ruled for the rest of the season.
Swiderski was injured as he crashed whilst riding for Polish club Wroclaw, where he also sustained broken ribs and will now require surgery.
Lakeside already have Adam Shields and Stuart Robson sidelined by injuires and the club are hoping to bring in a player soon.
"We wish Piotr a speedy recovery," said Hammers co-promotor Jon Cook.
"Following Piotr's crash, we have made some progress and we would hope to have at least one, if not two new riders, in place for our home match against Birmingham on 26 August."
