Michael Laverty finished second and third in Monday's British Superbike Championship rounds at Cadwell Park.

The Toomebridge-based Swan Yamaha rider had won Sunday's race at the Lincolnshire circuit to secure his place in the top six shootout at the remaining three rounds of the series.

Carrickfergus rider Alastair Seeley was second to Ben Wilson in both Supersport races held over the weekend.

Relentless TAS Suzuki rider now Seeley trails leader Wilson by 53 points.

After winning Sunday's race, Laverty was just under two seconds behind winner and team-mate Tommy Hill in Monday's first race.

Hill won Monday's second race, with Josh Brookes taking the runners-up spot.

On Sunday, Toomebridge rider Laverty took his second win of the season as he finished 0.21 seconds ahead of Hill when the race was red-flagged on the 11th lap because of rain.

Marty Nutt was 14th in Supersport race one but improved to ninth in race two.

Keith Farmer was second in the Junior National Superstock 600 event.
