Plymouth Devils got a third successive home win as they beat Newcastle 47-41 in the Premier League.
Ben Barker led the way with 13 points from five rides while Ricky Wells and Gino Franchetti each got 11.
The Devils' win, which came without new Australian signing Travis McGowan, means Plymouth are three points off the bottom with four matches in hand.
"This was a very good all round performance by the team," said Plymouth promoter Mike Bowden.
McGowan failed to get the requisite international clearance in time for the match.
"It will pose a selection problem for next week if Travis is available," Bowden added.
