Andy Priaulx says he is disappointed with his Intercontinental Le Mans Cup showing at Silverstone.
Priaulx, and team-mate Uwe Alzen, could only finish fourth in the GTW class in the six-hour race.
"The end result was a bit disappointing, especially after a very strong qualifying," Priaulx said.
"I managed to take the lead at the start, but then our performance over the course of the first stint was not what we expected."
Three-time World Touring Car champion Priaulx retired from the event in 2010 but will return to the sport next year.
And he said the chance to go racing again was a good experience.
"It was great racing at home and I must say I loved the new Silverstone lay-out," he said.
