Coventry Bees' hopes of reaching the end of season play-offs are over following defeat by Eastbourne Eagles.
The Bees were competitive throughout the meet but ultimately undone by the home riders taking victory in the last four races.
Co-boss Alun Rossiter said: "We're all disappointed, I genuinely believed we could make the play-offs, but it was just a bridge too far unfortunately.
"It's a downer at the moment but we will get over it."
