Alastair Seeley leads the series with three races remaining

Alastair Seeley has moved to the top of the British Supersport standings after completing a double at Silverstone.

The Carrickfergus rider followed up Saturday's win with victory on Sunday to move 14 points ahead of Ben Wilson, who failed to finish both races.

Toomebridge's Michael Laverty finished second and fourth in Sunday's British Superbike races.

The Swan Yamaha rider remains fourth in the series while Ian Lowry was 11th and 15th at the English circuit.

Castlerock's Marty Nutt was 12th in the first Supersport race but crashed out on the final lap in race two.

Keith Farmer from Clougher had already secured the Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship title before winning again on Sunday.

It is Seeley's second straight double after his two victories at Dinington Park a fortnight ago.
