Plymouth Devils agree to sign Nicki Glanz for 2012

Nicki Glanz has been confirmed as Plymouth Devils' first signing for the 2012 season.

The Danish-born 21-year-old was expected to join Plymouth for this year's campaign but the move fell through at the last minute.

"I'm very pleased, it's the first piece of the jigsaw," said Devils team manager Gary Spiller.

"Hopefully we can secure a more senior rider to partner him at reserve which will make us a stronger side."

Glanz was in attendance at Friday's win over Ipswich where promoter Mike Bowden made the announcement.

The signing will not be rubber-stamped however until after the British Speedway Promoters conference next month.
