Eugene Laverty has agreed a two-year deal to ride for Aprilia in the World Superbike series in 2012 and 2013.
The Toomebridge rider had been linked with a number of World Superbike teams, and the Tech 3 Yamaha MotoGP team, after Yamaha announced that they were withdrawing from World Superbikes.
Laverty won both races at Monza earlier this year and also secured podiums at Silverstone and Magny-Cours.
Aprilia have confirmed that Laverty will ride an 'official' RSV-4 in 2012.
He is expected to test his new machine at Portimao on Tuesday.
