Belle Vue Aces sign Australian Rory Schlein

Schlein first rode for the Aces in 2004

Belle Vue have begun their team-building for the 2012 season with the signing of Rory Schlein.

The Australian enjoyed a successful 2011 campaign on loan from Coventry and now the Aces will be entering negotiations to buy him outright.

Aces managing director David Gordon said: "We were as keen as our supporters to keep Rory after the season he's had. He wanted to stay.

"We're delighted that we have agreed a deal with him so quickly."
