Swindon Robins have signed Australian youngster Nick Morris for the 2012 Elite League campaign.
The 17-year-old has joined the Robins on loan, after spending last season with Glasgow and Coventry.
"People will say he should be doubling up but due to circumstances he's not, but I'm comfortable that he'll come in and do the job," team manager Alun Rossiter told BBC Wiltshire.
"He's only 17 but the option's there for him to become a full-time asset."
Morris completes a new-look Swindon side and will ride alongside Troy Batchelor, Hans Andersen, Simon Stead, Jason Doyle, Sebastian Alden, Peter Kildemand, Robin Aspegren and Kenny Ingalls.
"This is one of the most comfortable sides I've had but sometimes everything looks good on paper and it doesn't turn out," added Rossiter.
"Hopefully that isn't the case. The reaction from the supporters seems to be a excitement and people are starting to talk about us again which is fantastic."
