Oxfordshire racing driver Alice Powell has been invited to join the British Racing Drivers' Club 'Rising Stars' programme for the second year.
The 18-year-old from Chipping Norton normally races in the UK's Formula Renault Championship.
However, it is not yet known what Powell will be racing in this year, as funding is not yet in place
"I am extremely pleased to be selected again and would like to thank the BRDC for this opportunity," said Powell.
Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and IndyCar series driver Alex Lloyd are just two success stories from the Rising Star scheme, which has a proven track record of selecting only the best of individuals.
Powell was the 2010 Formula Renault BARC Champion, claiming two wins, seven podiums and two pole positions, and finished runner-up in the 2011 MRF Championship in India.
