Dungannon driver Kris Meeke has finished third in the Rally of France which ended on Sunday.
Finland's Jari-Matti Latvala won in a Volkswagen one-two and narrowed the gap at the top of the championship.
Latvala is now 27 points behind French world champion Sebastien Ogier, who ended outside the top 10.
Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen came second in the other Volkswagen for his best World Rally Championship result.
Citroen driver Meeke finished 65 seconds behind the winner and is sixth in the world championship standings.
The result in France equalled the third places Meeke had in Monte Carlo, Argentina and Finland earlier in the season.
Meeke hopes that his performances this season prove enough for him to retain the Citroen drive for 2015.
