Jersey racing driver Struan Moore is to drive in the 2015 Japanese Formula Three Championship.

The 19-year-old has signed with Hong Kong-based KC Motorgroup, having raced in the British Formula Four Championship last year.

"After a successful 2014, I'm so pleased to be joining such a well-established and growing team," he said.

"I'm looking forward to the challenge and testing my skills against some top-class drivers."

Team manager Ryui Doi commented: "Struan brings tremendous talent and enthusiasm to our Formula Three team.

"We saw first-hand his skill inside the car and his feedback and interaction with his engineers was very impressive.

"We have an exciting year ahead and we look forward to developing Struan's career."
