Dungannon driver Kris Meeke finished seventh in Rally Sweden which was won by Frenchman Sebastien Ogier.
Northern Irishman Meeke had begun the final day's three stages in ninth position after winning stage 16, one of Saturday's eight stages in his Citroen.
The 35-year-old was 12th overall after day one but a series of impressive performances on day two saw him move up the leaderboard.
Volkswagen driver Ogier also won the opening Monte Carlo Rally in January.
In Sweden, he finished 6.4 seconds ahead of Belgian Thierry Neuville in a Hyundai, who had enjoyed a 1.5-second advantage going into the final day.
Neuville finished 39.8 seconds in front of third-place finisher, Norwegian Volkswagen competitor Andreas Mikkelsen.
