Isle of Man soldier Billy Redmayne, who won last year's Junior Manx Grand Prix, will make his Isle of Man TT debut this summer.

The Laxey racer will compete in five solo races, including the Superbike and Senior TT.

The 25-year-old said: "I'm really looking forward to my TT debut and improving on my previous times."

In September, he won a thrilling three-lap Junior Manx Grand Prix by 1.8 seconds over Malachi Mitchell-Thomas.

Redmayne is a serving member of the Parachute Regiment and has struggled to commit fully to road racing due to deployments to Afghanistan.

But this season, with the full support from the regiment, he will pursue his road racing ambitions.

Redmayne will contest both Supersport races on the Valmoto MV Agusta and his own Kawasaki ZX10R in the other three classes.

He will also contest the North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix and Southern 100.
