Wales have finished ninth at the World Netball Championships after a final day 62-47 win over Fiji in the play-offs.
The result marked a remarkable turnaround for Wales, who had lost against a Fijian side ranked fifth in the world in the pool matches.
Wales had lost all three pool games, including a heavy 91-21 defeat against New Zealand.
But Melissa Hyndman's side bounced back to win all three play-off matches to finish ninth.
They defeated Botswana and Samoa by a single goal apiece before ending with their best result of the competition in Singapore.
"They've done us proud" said Welsh Netball Association chief executive Mike Fatkin.
"It'll help us with improving our profile and attracting sponsors."
