Jersey's Team Jets 'can remain unbeaten'

Team Jets have won all seven of their league matches this season

Team Jets coach Linda Andrews says her Jersey side can go all season without defeat in netball's South West Regional Division Two.

The islanders are one point clear at the top of the table, having played a game fewer than second-placed Hucclecote B.

Jets have won all of their seven league matches but meet title rivals Hucclecote on Saturday.

"We're up for 18 [wins] out of 18," Andrews told BBC Radio Jersey.

"Hucclecote will be tough because they only lost by four goals to Saints, who we just beat the other week."

In Saturday's double-header in Gloucestershire, Jets will also face Team Bath B, a fixture which marks the halfway point in the season.

Andrews said: "Having seen the opposition the first time round, we know what our strengths and weaknesses are, so we know what we need to work on when we play them again.

"Our squad is so strong and we know we've got a good band of girls to come in if we do get injuries.

"The girls relish the English competition and everyone's upping their game to make sure they're named in the squad to travel."
