Celtic Dragons made it two wins out of three in the Superleague by beating defending champions Hertfordshire Mavericks in Cardiff.
A fast start for the Dragons proved decisive, taking a 15-7 lead in the first quarter, with the remaining quarters all closely fought.
"Last week I was told my team was one-dimensional but this [result] puts that to rest," said coach Melissa Hyndman.
"Nic James was player of the match for me, she was absolutely amazing."
