England Netball: Power cut in Jamaica cuts short game

Jamaica v England in darkness
England's game in Jamaica was plunged into darkness after a power cut

England secured victory in the second international against Jamaica after power failure ended the match early.

Anna Mayes' side were leading 55-47 with one minute 15 seconds left when a power cut occurred inside the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.

The umpires subsequently declared the match as a result, levelling the series at 1-1, after Jamaica won the opener 56-47 on Saturday.

The decider will take place on Wednesday at 00:30 GMT.

England lost to Jamaica in the bronze medal match at this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The latest international series starts the countdown to the World Cup in Sydney in August.
