Manchester Thunder thrashed Celtic Dragons 81-36 on Monday to move back to the top of the Superleague standings.

The Dragons are without a win this term and were well-beaten by the reigning champions, who notched the biggest goal tally of the season so far.

Manchester replaced Hertfordshire Mavericks at the top of the table.

The Mavericks beat Team Northumbria on Saturday, while Surrey overcame Loughborough and Bath lost to Yorkshire Jets in the other round five games.

Speaking after their fifth win in five games, Thunder head coach Tracey Neville told BBC Radio Manchester: "It's not as easy as it sounds, but there's been some good points for Thunder over the last few weeks.

"In this game, you could see we were really trying to push on and implement things we've been working on."

Manchester will face Loughborough in the next round of games, while Surrey Storm host Team Northumbria, Yorkshire Jets welcome Hertfordshire Mavericks and Celtic Dragons travel to Team Bath.
