Philip Jordan missed Tyrone training on Tuesday although manager Mickey Harte has rejected reports that the player is set to retire from county football.

Jordan, Tyrone's only current All-Star, made his first appearance of the season as a 54th minute substitute in last Sundays Division Two win over Louth.

The 31-year-old had just recently returned to full training after undergoing surgery on a hip problem.

It's understood efforts are being made to keep Jordan on board with Tyrone.

Jordan has won three All-Ireland medals and three All-Star awards.

The Moy man could not be contacted for comment on Tuesday.
