Owen Roe McGovern, the last surviving member of Cavan's 1947 All-Ireland winning football team, died on Monday.
Cavan beat Kerry in the 1947 All-Ireland final at the Polo Grounds in New York - the only All-Ireland decider to be played overseas.
McGovern's inter-county playing career spanned two decades.
During that period he won many honours including two All Ireland titles, two National League titles and four Ulster Championship titles.
He served in the defense forces before emigrating to the United States with his wife Philomena in 1957.
