Donegal's Leo McLoone looks set to miss the Ulster SFC final against Derry after sustaining injuries while playing club football for Naomh Chonaill.
McLoone suffered a number of broken bones below the eye and was taken to hospital following a mass brawl.
He scored a late goal for his side in the 1-10 to 2-6 defeat to Glenswilly.
Donegal assistant manager Rory Gallagher has confirmed that the Glenties player will require surgery and will miss the Ulster decider.
The final will be played at Clones on 17 July.
McLoone only returned to action against Cavan in last month's Ulster SFC quarter-final win after suffering a broken ankle back in March, but now faces another spell on the sidelines.
