Tyrone star Sean Cavanagh could be out of action for up to six months after sustaining a shoulder injury while lifting weights.
The 28-year-old is understood to have detached a tendon and is to have an operation on Monday.
It means the four-times All Star will miss the International Rules games in October, having led Ireland to victory in the 2008 matches in Australia.
Cavanagh will also play no part in Moy's Club Championship campaign.
He could be ruled out of some of Tyrone's early 2012 games in the McKenna Cup and National League.
