John O'Neill has resigned as manager of Fermanagh after a turbulent year in charge of the Erne county.
Officials, in announcing O'Neill's departure, admitted 2011 had been a difficult time for Fermanagh football.
In July, the county board set up a review committee to look into the senior football team's hugely disappointing 2011 season.
Club representatives had been due to discuss the managerial position at a meeting on Monday night.
During O'Neill's year in charge, a number of players made themselves unavailable for the squad.
Fermanagh lost heavily to Derry in the Ulster Championship and then suffered an embarrassing defeat by London in the qualifiers.
