Ciaran Herron has called time on his inter-county hurling career with Antrim after 12 years of service.
Herron cited a combination of injury problems, work and family commitments for his decision to step down.
The 30-year-old defender is currently recovering from hip surgery which will rule him out of action until April.
Herron has been the Saffrons' regular left half-back over the last decade and won an All Star nomination in 2003. He made his debut against London in 2000.
Antrim centre half-back Karl McKeegan is expected to follow Herron into inter-county retirement.
The 33-year-old has been a regular in the Saffrons line-up for 10 years but suffered an injury-plagued season under Dinny Cahill in 2011.
