Ulster champions Donegal to start defence at Breffni

Donegal will begin their defence of the Ulster SFC title against Cavan at Breffni Park with the preliminary round tie on Sunday, 20 May next year.

Monaghan take on Antrim seven days later at Clones while Fermanagh and Down meet at Brewster Park on 3 June.

Armagh and Tyrone clash at the Athletic Grounds a week later and Derry play Cavan or Donegal on Saturday, 16 June.

The semi-finals will be staged on 24 and 30 June with the championship decider on Sunday, 22 July.

All replays will take place on the following Saturday with the exception of the semi-finals and final.

Tke losing Ulster finalists will have just a week break before playing in the All-Ireland qualifiers.

Donegal are involved in the preliminary round for the second successive year.

Jim McGuinness' side defeated Antrim in this year's Ulster opener before going on to account for Cavan in the provincial quarter-finals.
